Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# KWON66EPKZ and was
addressed in Notes/Domino 6.5.4.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 and 6.0.5 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):
Calendaring & Scheduling
SPR# KWON66EPKZ - Calendar documents with alarms enabled will stop sending
alarm notifications intermittently over a period of time. These calendar
entries were enabled to "Notify Me" by the user. This problem has been fixed in
6.0.5 and 6.5.4. A workaround would be to re-enable the alarm notifications by
deselecting and reselecting the "Notify Me" checkbox.
Supporting Information:
The $Alarms view includes specific calendar entries that have alarms. Any
calendar item without an entry in the $Alarms view will not have an alarm
associated with it. At some point, repeating entries no longer appear in the
$Alarms view, even though the date and time are still in the future, so no
alarm notification is sent. More >
